Sunrise Middle School is passionate about providing an exceptional education for students in the 21st century. The unwavering commitment to their success is evident in the various programs and opportunities offered.

One of the most popular programs is Quest for the Gifted. This program offers a unique humanities-based block that includes gifted literature, writing, social studies, and a science interface. 

The Dual Language Mandarin Immersion (DLMI), is designed to offer two periods of elective classes that focus on Mandarin Language Arts and Chinese Culture. The program emphasizes conversational skills, vocabulary development, and cultural literacy, making it an engaging experience for students.

Sunrise Middle believes in challenging students to reach their full potential. The school offers a range of honors programs, including English, Science, and Social Studies, as well as advanced high school math courses for high school credit. 

The state-of-the-art science labs provide students with a professional laboratory experience. With 18 lab tables spread across two rooms, students have access to a diverse range of scientific exploration opportunities that allow them to learn through hands-on experiences.

The fine arts department is truly exceptional, and takes great pride in the achievements of fine arts students. With programs like visual art, dance, stagecraft, theatre performance, concert band, guitar, advanced strings, and choral groups, students are well-prepared for high school, college, and even professional-level performances.
